Hello,
Today seemed like time moved too quickly did anyone else notice that? I had a lot to do today but no matter how much I tried to make a dent into the work seemed like it was endless. I went to queens today to help my brother see the doctor for his follow up and to try out new glasses. It is a whole building there by queens college, our family we call it the union building but I'm sure it has a proper name just we always known it as that. I saw a lot of elderly people there today, did you know most eldery people talk about the same story they did in 2012. It caught my attention while I was falling asleep waiting for my brother to finish. I just thought of elderly persons spend sometime doing lab work they could find out how things work versus just trusting the doctor with everything or waiting a long time. I found it very upsetting that the desk clerk told him that he had to wait 3 hours for her to check if they had any openings. I mean come on everyone how long does it take you to upload a photo nowadays and many older men and woman don't question this. I felt like everyone can get away with taking advantage just because they think their lunch break is more important than helping out a single older gentleman. People need a break but please be nicer to them, I mean more than half the things we know today flies over their heads. I just implore everyone to just be a little more patient and help out because that could be your grandpa or grandma or even you one day. I have a deadly fear of being all alone when I'm 80, I mean I'm not a mean person just think everyone is on their own schedule. Three things I want to change before I get that old are.
1. Healthcare with meds,
2.Emergency service whether it be a ambulance or many nurses that are in charge of me at night(I think about this because I once dated a nurse that still works in Mount Sinai and the place would be scary especially when I know they leave the room half the time)
3. A new way to wipe since it will be super difficult when your 80 to even bend down to grab the news paper and I'm sure whether your 18 or 45, you wouldn't want to be disgraced that way.
Like I said in my previous blog pages, things need to change not just for me but for everyone, I feel everyone should benefit from new and better ways to do a simple thing we could take for granted one day.
